Perimenopause Therapy
You're not losing it. Your body is changing, and you deserve support through it.
Perimenopause, the years leading up to menopause, can bring changes in mood, anxiety, sleep, focus, and energy that catch many women off guard, often while they're also carrying work, kids, and aging parents. It's easy to wonder if something is wrong with you when your body's transition is part of the picture.
Therapy isn't a replacement for medical care, and I'll always encourage you to talk with your OB-GYN or doctor about symptoms and treatment options. What I can offer is a place to make sense of the emotional side of this season: the anxiety, irritability, grief, and identity questions it stirs up, along with coping tools and support for the relationships and expectations around you.
A good fit if
- You feel irritable, anxious, or tearful in ways that feel new
- Sleep, focus, or energy have slipped and it is affecting how you show up
- You're grieving or rethinking who you are as your body and roles change
- You've been told it's "just stress" and it doesn't feel that simple
- You're juggling kids (of any age), work, and parents all at once
What to expect
- Room to talk about what this season is stirring up, without being brushed off
- Practical tools for stress, overwhelm, and the worry that keeps you up
- Support with identity, expectations, and relationships in transition
- Encouragement to coordinate with your medical provider
- In person in Fairfax or virtually anywhere in Virginia
